The Marion Community Unit School District #2 will receive sealed bids. Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Facsimile and electronic bids will not be accepted; bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bids and no late bids will be accepted. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.
Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, and quality and serviceability, as determined by the Board. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in the bidding process.
The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, specifically including the payment of the applicable prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under the contract. The Owner is exempt from sales tax.
